About John

Labor and employment law constantly evolves and challenges the most experienced business leaders. Since co-founding the firm in 2008 after practicing at an Am Law 100 firm, John has focused his practice on helping executives and HR professionals not just understand their legal obligations, but also make sound business decisions that are compliant, compassionate, and practical for their organizations.

John educates clients and the business community on important labor and employment law topics. He regularly presents at seminars on subjects ranging from the Family and Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities Act to workplace harassment and social media. Sometimes, a company’s leaders don’t see eye-to-eye with employees, and disputes arise. John fights for businesses in all forms of litigation, including:

  • Administrative charges in agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Indiana Civil Rights Commission, and National Labor Relations Board
  • Arbitrations before labor arbitrators
  • Trials and appeals in federal and state courts
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution

Since 2004, John has served on the adjunct faculty of the Notre Dame Law School in the Deposition Skills course. He also teaches deposition skills to practicing attorneys as a faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

John is a registered civil mediator, focusing his mediation practice on disputes involving labor and employment law.
